Let's Talk (424) 328-1028
We are running on a CORE FOUR platform to address Public Safety, Homelessness, Infrastructure, and Economic Opportunity. Here are some 'nonpartisan' solutions that can be dissected and implemented effectively by an engineering problem solver. So, take your time, mull these over, and let us know your thoughts. We hope you enjoy these and take a moment to drop us a line.
Everything revolves around us being safe in our homes and as we live our lives here in Los Angeles County.
We need to reopen our jails and start putting the bad guys back in them. I’m all for trying to help someone find a better life outside of crime, but if our County DA is soft on crime, then it is we the law-abiding citizens who suffer the consequences.
Our campaign team used AI and the Topics Sentiment Frequency Page to understand the frequency over time of people expressing their sentiment—their opinion, on these key issues.
It is clear that Crime is top of mind in our County. We will be out campaigning against soft on crime candidates and will support efforts to repeal laws that have made things worse such as AB 47.
Many cities in LA County rely on our County Sheriffs and Fire Departments. We look to fully support these brave men and women along with getting them the equipment and public backing needed to properly do their jobs.
Big Ideas that our current elected officials are not pursuing that John Cruikshank (pragmatist) will tackle.
We can use Hyperloop and Tunneling technology to move shipping containers from our Ports to Distribution Centers outside of Urban Cities.
Did you know that LA County sits atop an abundance of clean energy? Yes, we can reuse old wells to open up Geothermal Energy. Let's bring our energy bills down with an All of the Above Energy Policy.
Everyday water from irrigation and other sources drains to the ocean leaving through our storm drains. The County can redirect that water to the Sanitation District plants for reuse. Let's accelerate this process.
You can speak about a problem all you want but the truth is that what is being done now is not working. We need more nonpartisan, pragmatists.
We need to allow each County and City to be able convert any underutilized building into housing. We can listen to housing developers as they will tell us where these affordable units are needed and can be created.
We can see it all around us. It wasn’t that long ago when homelessness was pretty much confined to downtown Los Angeles at Skid Row. Now, we can see the homeless camps on many freeway bridges and exit ramps along with RV’s parked along our streets throughout Los Angeles County. I know there are solutions where each one is unique.
What we have found in my hometown of Rancho Palos Verdes is that Open Space increases our Quality of Life. During the COVID lockdowns, LA County residents flocked to our Open Space to breath new life into their souls. Let's start finding land throughout Los Angeles County that can be opened up for all (including nature) to enjoy.
There are many other important issues that need to be addressed.
Here are posts that have gone out to supporter's list. Please enjoy and let me know if you have any suggestions.
Our Los Angeles County government should not be interfering with the free market. John is a licensed Civil Engineer and has run his own engineering company in LA County since 1996.
